The Foundation have made a gift of £150,000 to support the creation of a new student common room in the new Leavis House building at Downing College.
Work has begun on the construction of Leavis House, a new accommodation building for 26 post-graduate students on Regent Street, across the road from the main college site. Completion is expected to be in 2028.
The Foundation particularly wanted to support bringing together post-graduate students into one accommodation building and providing a common room for them to socialise together.
